i am not sure anywhere exsists a better soup & sandwich combination then tomato soup and grilled cheese- this one is ezekiel bread with mozzarella. it is comfort food at its finest, especially for a cold(finally) and windy day like this in nyc.
the place mat is from crate & barrel, i know it is not the most attractive- it keeps my wooden table free of oil stains though!
what’s your favorite soup and sandwich combination?
it is no secret that my favorite ‘photo’ blog at the moment is Vanessa Jackman. She has a great eye and focuses mostly on the fashion set. this photo of an italian friend duo is a prime example of her talent.
below is luisa & antonine before the Louis Vuitton SS 2012 show. first of all i adore their names. i also love luisa’s jean dress paired with the simple black bag! antonine’s style is more eclectic, but really beautiful none-the-less.

over the past weekend i went to a very nicely themed party: dessert and dancing. in one room was a lot of ballons, two long bars and a dj. in the other was a long spread of desserts: bananas foster with vanilla ice cream, brownies, cookies, chocolate truffles, raspberry oat bars… the list goes on.
i loved the idea and it got me thinking what kind of ambience would i have at my own dessert and dancing party? beautiful dishes and comfortable pillows. i see my dessert party as an alice in wonderland type affair.

whowhatwear is a great website for all things fashion. today, they broke a story about cuffed pants. while i am not sure this is exactly a ‘new’ trend, it is one i appreciate. no only are boyfriend pants comfortable, they are also easy to wear for work like rihanna, traveling like rosie or a night out like ashley.
if you live in new york and have yet to visit taim, do yourself a favor a go soon. it is my favorite falafel in the whole city and one of serious eats favorite as well. you can get it in a pita sandwich or plain. my favorite order is a greek salad(they have the best) along with mixed falafel platter.
